A good link

Ever find a good resource that’s likely existed for a good long time? My friend Jonathan just showed me http://www.monergism.com. Here I can possibly begin to satisfy my interest in Christian Apologetics.

Thank you Jesus =]

1 Peter 3:15

Lately I’ve begun to become concerned with apologetics, especially presuppositional apologetics. Only a few paragraphs into study, and I can already see interesting arguments between Evidentialists and Presuppositionalists. I’m very much looking forward to borrowing a series from a friend that better explains this than Wikipedia :-)

Qt and PyQt on MacOS X

Apparently Apple changed the data type of a GLuint from an unsigned long in Tiger to an unsigned int in Leopard. This causes linking errors while compiling the QtOpenGL module. The fix for this is to

1. uninstall the binary package that was downloaded from Troll Tech (see uninstall python script laying around in in /Developer

2. download the source package, compile and install it

3. Recompile PyQt and all will go well

classes

Although I thought I would take discrete math and assembly language next enrollment I found out last night that neither of these classes are being offered at Regis. So after a lengthy discourse with my advisor I’ve been cleared to step past the lower-division classes for now and into the upper division classes (oh boy!) I’ll be taking CS432 (object oriented design and analysis) at Regis and Philosophy 100 at NSCC.

Thanksgiving this year

This year we went to Mom & Jamie’s house for Thanksgiving. Ken & Heather joined us, and later in the evening we were joined by Grandma & Grandpa, Bill & Glenna, and Nikki’s little baby for pie. Overall it was a lot of fun to see the family so quickly after the birth.

Well, I haven’t heard from you in years!

It’s incredible really, I’ve fallen into the trap that everyone else has these days. I have a blog, I’m on LinkedIn, Facebook, and to some degree I even am on MySpace. Most of the time I notice that people use these things for fun or self-grandification. Which makes it it’s encouraging when a friend that you haven’t heard from in over a decade finds you on one of these social networks. This is what happened to me today, a friend of mine that I haven’t talked to since probably the end of 1997 got a hold of me on Facebook.

I guess I’ve got a lot of catching up to do! :-)

Thus far

Lately Samuel’s been having some difficulty sleeping throughout the night. Timothy has taken an interest in his baby brother, attempting to put the pacifier in his mouth when he’s angry.

Aside from that, I’m closing in on the end of the quarter at NSCC & the enrollment at Regis. I’m a little pensive about what classes to take during the next enrollment as I can take one more before hitting a brick wall at Regis. I need to have finished Discrete math before going on.
